Whose the antique?

These two window shoppers are on King Street in Charleston.  I was challenged by the window reflections.  My son came up with the title.

WHOSE THE ANTIQUE?

Boobs and Booze

That is the name of my new series.  I had originally named it "Girls Who Wine".  My son came up with the new name, "Boobs and Booze",  which has received a lot more attention!

They are so much fun to paint and I learn so many things about girls and their friends.  Here are some of the things I've learned.  Girls like to drink in bars.  They are proud of their boobs, hair, and jewelry. Most important is that they cherish their friendships.  My girls are always young, always thin, and are always smiling!

They can be special ordered.  My website has contact information.  They are painted with  acrylic on 5x5 gallery wrapped canvas and sell for $75. plus shipping.

I'm Back!

My family has had a tough year and I have neglected my blog and many other things.  As many of you artist will understand,  my studio and my paints saved me and gave me much needed stress relief.   I have not sent many comments your way but I have been looking and hope to do better about keeping in touch and sharing.

I spent a lot of time in NYC this past winter with my daughter.  Here is a large painting I did of Grand Central Station.  Many of you will recognize the way the light comes from the high windows.  It was late afternoon so the shadows are long with great contrast.   I transposed groups of people from 3 photos.   That was quite the challenge.
